The word clearly shows that it stemmed out from another word - “edifice”, which means a large impressive building. To edify then refers to the process of building something big, complex, and with great importance.
Being Christian-based, MGNI not only acknowledges Jesus as the Messiah, but also affirms that there is an archenemy to the faith who seeks to destroy everything the Lord has aspired to build. Social ills are prevalent these days because good morals are fading away like vapors in the air. This puts out an urgent call for true spiritual beacons to enlighten the way back towards the one true Light.
The Word of God – the Holy Bible is crucial to pointing us back to the right path. With it paired to music, MGNI believes the imputation of this grace can be achieved more effectively. Colossians 3:16 puts it like this - “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”
If grace is given as a precious gift through the death of Jesus on the Cross, then as a custodian of that gift, MGNI seeks to instruct those who have received this gift to continue to build by the Cornerstone, keeping strong to the faith that was taught from the beginning until the day of Jesus’ return.
Music possesses great power, having the ability to win battles without weapons. King David, and thereafter, King Jehoshaphat had the blessing to experience this in their lifetime. Singing, and the playing of instruments have always been a very important part in the worship of God. In the Book of Psalms, it proclaimed, “God inhabits the praises of His people.”
Therefore, MGNI believes that, equipped with the anointing of the Holy Spirit, a powerful, consecrated music ministry can build up the Church to better fulfill its purpose of propagating the seeds of grace towards the salvation of souls. MGNI pledges itself to the mandate of Christ to tend to His flock, and to faithfully build up, instruct, and improve Christian morals in the world.
