What is this? It really just means “to administer healing,” more specifically, healing through God’s grace and love. The Bible made mention about a balm in Gilead that has great healing properties. However, MGNI applies this “Balm” to symbolically represent Jesus, who made Himself the remedy for all ills caused by sin. John, the Baptizer proclaimed publicly that "Jesus is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world."
The Lord, God who gave His grace as a gift towards salvation, also gave His love as the power to fulfill the work. Grace means nothing without love. If Grace is a seed, Love is what makes it grow. When Love betrothed Grace, the offspring is Salvation! All of this is God’s own doing, by the life, death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus.
MGNI believes music that is anointed by God can have the power to heal and deliver sinners. The operative word here is “anointed”. One can train to be skillful, but anointing comes from God, and is strictly a gift given by Him. Skillful music mostly entertains, but anointed music possesses the power to transform the soul.
David, son of Jesse was a great example of an anointed musician whom God loved. He was not just skillful with music, but he was anointed, and bore the power to drive out evil spirits and heal many kinds of sicknesses. 1 Samuel 16:23 gave the account that whenever an evil spirit torments King Saul, David would play on his harp, and Saul would feel better because the tormenting spirit would depart from him.
MGNI gladly serves to administer the Balm of Gilead (Jesus Christ) to the people who are desperate for healing, not just of the physical kind but also spiritual. Many outward and visible manifestations of the divine Paraclete become evidence to the effects of the power of God’s love through grace. This can also be witnessed through anointed music, empowered by the Same, who lives and reigns in the hearts of born-again believers.
Roman 15:13 states, “Now, may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.”
